What was your inspiration for writing the book?
I came across several books published by Arcadia that focused on the history of boxing in several cities. I felt that New York City's own history had to be a part of the series.
What will readers find interesting about the book?
The images are excellent. There's also a lot of information, some of which hasn't been told for decades.
What writing advice would you give to aspiring authors
and historians?
They must make sure that they know the material thoroughly and must never give up. They should also have an idea of how to make the book marketable.
What lasting impact do you hope you book will leave?
II hope the book will serve as a tribute to the many boxers who gave it their all in the ring an in life.
